The 3-Layer Forged Steel High Carbon Stainless Series uses high quality steel imported from Japan. Japanese steel makes for a harder and sharper blade. Our 3-Layer Forged Steel Series knife blades combine the best attributes of high carbon steel and ordinary stainless steel to make a knife with a killer edge that is also tougher, more rust resistant, and with a longer edge life.
The 3-Layer Forged Steel Series is made of 3 layers of forged steel. One core layer of VG-10 cutting steel with two outer layers of high-carbon steel, one on each side of the core. Then, the blade is tempered reach a hardness of HRC 60-62. This creates a super sharp blade which holds an edge longer than regular stainless steel knives.
